Going solar in Hudson just became a little easier. With support from the Hudson Light & Power department, residents of Hudson & Stow are now investigating solar power solutions to secure their energy future. In March, HLP announced a brand new solar rebate program for installed systems up to 100 kW. Residential customers can receive up to $5,000 off the cost of a solar electric system. ($1 per watt, max $5,000) Commercial projects are eligible for up to $10,000 of funds. In addition to saving money on the monthly electric bill, HLP customers are eligible to sell the "Solar Renewable Energy Certificates" (SRECs) and generate $1,000 to $3,000 or more per year!
